Worried about soaring energy bills and cost of living? Unlike traditional student housing, you do not have to worry about rising energy prices and the risk of going over your budget with Scape as all utility bills are included in your rent. This includes Wi-Fi, water, heating and electricity.
Unlike other student halls, we also host regular events that are often free to you. These events range from grab and go breakfast, to social mixers and summer parties.
We have laundry facilities onsite; this is run by circuit and there is a small payment needed per load.

Useful travel times
Canada Water is really well connected. Live within a 5 minute walk of the tube station. From Scape Canada Water travel by tube West to The City in 20 minutes or Borough Market in 15 minutes. Head East on the tube to Canary Wharf in 10 minutes or O2 arena in 20 minutes. The overground can get you to Shoreditch and Whitechapel within 30 minutes. There is also a great bus network from outside your front door. Be in Victoria Park or Greenwich Village within 30 minutes.
Hammersmith is a well connected west London neighbourhood. At Scape Hammersmith live within a 10 minute walk of the tube. Be at Westfields in Shepherds Bush within 15 minutes. Tourist hotspots of South Kensington, Notting Hill and Hyde Park are 20 minutes away. For your internship the City, Paddington and Bond Street are within a 35 minute commute.
Mile End is a well connected east London neighbourhood. At Scape Mile End live within a 10 minute walk of the tube station. Head east on the central line and reach Stratford within 5 minutes. Shoreditch and Bank are a 20 minute journey. Enjoy a walk along Regents Canal from your doorstep. With Victoria Park 20 minutes away.

Connecting you to The City, Bank, Liverpool Street and Moorgate in 20 minutes. Stratford in 15 minutes or North London in 30 minutes.

Live entertainment on your doorstep
Summertime is when London’s festival scene kicks off and you’re never short of options. Having started in Victoria Park East London, Lovebox has now moved across to the west of the city in Gunnersbury Park. Previous headline artists include Ed Sheeran and Snoop Dog and the line-up this year is certain not to disappoint. There will also be a chance to experience Europe’s biggest street party, Notting Hill Carnival. It’s a big celebration of the many different cultures that call this city home and is one that is a must during your summer stay. Other festivals to keep an eye out for are Wireless , All Point East and British Summer Time.
In the summer British Summer Time takes place in Hyde Park. A weeks worth of day festivals with some of the biggest names performing.
London is full of live entertainment. From the West End, to plays in the open air theatre in Regents Park. Hammersmith is known for its comic roots. You've probably heard of the Eventim Apollo. It has hosted legendary GLOBAL artists from David Bowie to Adele and continues to be a flagship for the best concerts, comedy shows, and theatre performances that London has to offer. Students are able to buy discounted tickets at amazing rates. Keep an eye on last minute ticket websites.
Living by the riverside
Our summer accommodation options are based near the River Thames. From Scape Canada Water you've got Surrey Docks fitness and water sports centre on your doorstep. Which includes a 1km water sport dock. There's a huge range of activities available including sailing, kayaking, wind surfing, power boating and canoeing. Are you a seasoned swimmer? Love Open Water run swimming sessions from Canary Wharf middle dock during the summer months. There are 250, 400 or 600m loops available.
At Scape Hammersmith you'll be living very close to the river Thames. The Thames path is the perfect way to get some air and stretch your legs and reset in the outdoors. This is one of our favourite Hammersmith attractions to make the most of on your doorstep. The Thames Path is easy to access for runners, walkers and cyclists, which runs through Hammersmith on the north and south side of the river with some of the best views in London.
Down by Hammersmith Bridge there is a great selection of pubs for a meal or drink with friends.We're big fans of The Dove and The Blue Anchor, which offer a quintessential British pub experience.
Scape Mile End back onto Regent's Canal. A body of water that arks through central London. Enjoy pop up shops and cafes on the canal boats. Visit Camden, Kings Cross and Little Venice with ease.
Alfresco dining
Living at Scape Canada Water you're close to a fantastic array of cuisines. Hop off the Jubilee line at Borough to explore the victorian food market. From pop-up market stalls to renowned boltholes like Padella there is something to tickle everyone's tastebuds. Another market worth visiting is on Maltby Street- a bustling street food market celebrating the flavours of the world, with fresh produce, and rustic bars. Visit the flag-lined Ropewalk in the heart of Bermondsey.
London Bridge also offer another buzzy outdoor venue, Vinegar Yard, featuring a great selection of food vendors, bars serving local beer, art installations and boutiques shops. Don't miss out on Flat Iron square, a casual food court serving favourites such as noodles, pizza, salads & veggie dishes. Another great way to spend a sunny Saturday in the height of summer is Bermondsey Beer mile, a 1.4 mile stretch of breweries and tap rooms nestled in railway arches.

Explore Regents Canal from your front door at Scape Mile End.. A great place to take a stroll on a hot summers day. Carving it's way through some of the most scenic parts of the city. Do you enjoy a craft beer? Hackney Wick is also worth exploring, teeming with independent breweries by the local canals.
Scape favourite spots
Southbank gets very crowded in the summer months, but there is a secluded spot we think is a must visit, Queen Elizabeth Hall roof garden at the Southbank centre. The rooftop is full of native plant beds, and lawns covered in picnic blankets. The perfect setting for catching up with friends and enjoying the sunset.
Another must visit is Gordon's wine bar. It is thought to be the oldest wine bar in London. Situated in a vaulted cellar and lit by candle light it is a fantastic setting with people spilling out onto the street in the summer months.
Neighbourhoods to visit.
The best of East London is just a few minutes away from E1. Shoreditch, Brick Lane, Hoxton and Spitalfields are a short bus ride away. All the areas are famous for their cafes, galleries, fashion, restaurants and nightlife. There's something to suite everyone.
The best of West London is just a few minutes away from Scape Hammersmith. Notting Hill, Shepherds Bush, Fulham, South Ken and Knightsbridge are all a short journey away. The areas are famous for high end fashion, food and art.
From Canada Water, Deptford, Bermondsey, Greenwich, Wapping and Whitechapel are nearby. Unique neighbourhoods to explore.
Shopping highlights
Head on down to Europe’s largest shopping centre, Westfield Stratford City, which is only five minutes away from Mile End on the tube. And with over 268 high street and designer stores, it's the perfect location to grab all those supplies and wardrobe 'essentials'.
East London is known for its independent shopping scene. Explore Brick Lane and Columbia Road Flower Market at the weekend. There are also a range of independent art galleries and craft shops in Hackney for affordable art. If you love rummaging around in second hand stores East London is a great place to explore regular flea markets.
Scape Hammersmith is also super close to Shepherds Bush Westfields in the West of the city.
