Our boutique rooms at Scape Kings Cross are in high demand. With only 60 beds, we tend to fill up fast. The best way to guarantee your spot is by booking early. As our rooms are dynamically priced (like flight tickets), booking ahead also gives you an opportunity to get our best rates.

If there’s no current availability, you may join our waiting list. If a student cancels their booking and a room becomes available, we’ll reach out to everyone on the waiting list and rooms will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis.  

No, you don’t need a guarantor to book. Securing a room at Scape Kings Cross is hassle-free. As long as you’re over 18 when you move in, you can book your room without any additional paperwork or fuss. It’s just one more way we take the stress out of moving.  

Your room comes with a comfortable double bed, giving you plenty of space to stretch out and recharge after a long day at uni. You just need to bring your own pillow and bedding. There’s large under-bed storage, wardrobes, strategically placed shelves and drawers to neatly store all your stuff.

Your kitchenette comes fully-equipped with a hob, microwave and fridge-freezer so you can easily prepare your favourite meals. If there's anything else you need, we’ve partnered with Unpacked so you can pre-order kitchen, bedding and cleaning items to be delivered directly to your door at Scape on check-in day. 

Bedroom windows at Scape Kings Cross are double glazed to reduce noise. We implement advanced air circulation systems to maintain an ambient temperature in your room. There's also air conditioning in all communal spaces and the gym in Bloomsbury. 

Our rooms in Scape Kings Cross are designed with thoughtful details. Enjoy a fully furnished space with an ensuite bathroom, power shower, heated towel rails and mirrored bathroom cupboards. There are large windows to let the daylight in, along with a study desk and chair, ideal for online lectures or video calls with family.

Along with our cosy lounge, study area and garden room, you also have access to all of Scape Bloomsbury's facilities just a 5-minute walk away. There’s an onsite laundry room for a small fee, and your mail and parcels can be delivered to Bloomsbury reception and tracked on the Scape app for your convenience. Yes, Scape provides private student accommodation across the city. Our beautifully designed, purpose-built accommodations are managed independently from universities and are exclusive to students over 18. We welcome students from a broad range of higher education institutions, providing a comfortable and inspiring environment to help you get the most out of your university experience. 

You may be able to stay on the same floor as your friend. The best way to make sure you are close to each other, is by booking together. Just reach out to our team at bookings.uk@scape.com and we’ll get it sorted. Don’t forget to check our offers page for any Refer a Friend discounts. 

Yes, you just need to make sure your guest is checked in at reception or on the Scape app on arrival. We respect your independence. 

Given its size and exclusivity, the reality is that Scape Kings Cross books up quickly. If you're going into first year, the best time to book your room is when you’re applying for university. If you don’t meet your grade entry requirements - or you exceed them and decide to study in a different city - you can cancel your booking free of charge until August 2025 (T&Cs apply).

If you’re already at university, we recommend booking your room as early as possible. Our current residents are given a chance to book before opening to new students, so booking ASAP is the only way to make sure you don’t miss out. 

Booking a room online at Scape Kings Cross is easy. Just click the 'Book this room' button and choose your location, room and floor. After that, sign your tenancy contract and make a 2-week upfront payment. Once that’s done, your booking is confirmed and the deposit will be deducted from your rent.

Our rooms fill up fast. If you need a few days to decide but you're worried about missing out, we recommend putting a room on hold. Just select your room, create a Scape account and submit your contact details. We’ll take the room off the market and give you up to 72 hours to complete your booking.
