Scape Kings Cross does not have a dedicated reception. It is managed in conjunction with our local residence at Scape Bloomsbury. Our team at Scape Bloomsbury are available on site 7 days a week, 24/7, and we are here to help you get the most out of your time at university. You can talk to a member of staff in person or raise a question via the resident app. Or you can always get in touch via live chat on our website. We are here to support you, and our goal is to build a happy and calm living environment for all our students.

From your apartment, you are moments away from the heart of the action. Kings Cross mainline train station is a 5-minute walk away. The Brunswick centre is nearby for your everyday essentials. Around the corner, you will find our Scape Bloomsbury property, where you can make use of all the facilities – for free. We are afraid there is no parking at Scape Kings Cross.
What facilities are available?
Scape Kings Cross is a small size accommodation of 60 bedrooms. Enjoy living in a relaxed community setting with a boutique feel and a calm vibe. Each studio apartment comes fully furnished. Choose between a Large or Premium studio apartment. The spacious rooms cater well for an independent lifestyle. The studios have a bedroom that comes with a double bed, a kitchen including a fridge, freezer, hob and combi-oven. A large desk and study space, a double wardrobe, ample shelves and under-bed storage. Each room also comes with a window seat and a private en-suite bathroom. All utility bills and services are included as part of your rental agreement.
On the ground floor, you have access to comfy communal study areas, a meeting room shared lounge, laundry room, garden room and kitchenette. Assistance is available via our dedicated Scape staff who are available on weekdays to give you a helping hand.
You will also have access to Scape Bloomsbury communal facilities, which is within very proximity - just a 5-minute walk away. Here you will find a games room, study areas and meeting rooms, gym, cinema, communal lounge, kitchen & bar. The management team are available 24/7, nothing is too much trouble for them to help you with.
How easy is it to commute to university?
Traveling across London is very easy from Scape Kings Cross with quick access to local bus routes, tube lines and mainline train stations. You can access anywhere across London quickly. Keeping your journey time to campus to a minimum.
The Kings Cross area is on the doorstep to many of the capital's leading universities, campuses and colleges, including University of London, Birkbeck, University of Westminster, University of Greenwich, King's college London + Guy’s Campus, Camberwell College of Arts, London School of Economic, London Fashion College, University of the Arts London, London College of Communication, Imperial College London and SOAS Uni of London campus. You'll join the alumni of hundreds of previous students from these world class institutions who have called Scape home.
Just a short way from Scape is arguably the UK’s most prestigious higher education institution, University College London (UCL). Central St Martins, a world-renowned arts and design college, is within a 5-minute walk too.
What is it like living in the city centre?
The property is perfectly placed for those looking to be within touching distance of the vibrant nature of London but want to live on a quiet street. Living in central London makes it easy to visit some of the capital's iconic tourist destinations; the famous shopping destination, Oxford Street, is just a short walk away where you’ll find a mix of designer and high-street outlets. The British Museum is just round the corner if you're looking to immerse yourself in British history, art and culture. Or hop over to the London Eye on Southbank just a 15-minute bus ride away.
Other hotspots to make sure you visit across the city include the vibrant restaurant scene in London Bridge, food stalls in Borough Market, music venues and boutique shops across Camden and Islington, the mega museum district in South Kensington, enjoy Shoreditch nightlife plus Hyde Park's many scenic walks. Kings Cross in north London has developed a lot over the past few years. A great area to visit is Granary Square and Coal Drops Yard - packed full of eateries, restaurants and bars. The perfect place to enjoy cuisine from around the world. Scala is a huge live music venue and nightclub. Enjoy a range of gigs and events at this famous venue. If you're looking for a bit of peace and quiet, Regent's park is a 20-minute walk away, it is worth grabbing tickets and visiting the famous Regents open-air theatre during the summer months.
5-minutes up the road is the neighbourhood of Angel, with a great selection of cocktail bars and traditional pubs. The area also includes renowned comedy venues Angel Comedy Club and The Bill Murray.
What is the best way to travel around Kings Cross?
Living in the heart of Zone 1 means travel is super convenient, there are plenty of transport options to get around. Access anywhere in the capital quickly, Kings Cross tube station is one of the best-connected underground stations in the capital with 6 tube lines (Northern line, Metropolitan, Hammersmith and Circle lines, Victoria line and Piccadilly line).
The area is a transport hub as the stations also offer fast train connections to Cambridge, Leeds, Newcastle, Scotland and beyond. It's the perfect location to live to be able to easily explore the rest of the country too. The Thameslink also provides a quick service to Brighton if you want to visit the seaside resort for the weekend.
There is also a range of bus routes available on the doorstep of Scape Kings Cross.
