Visit FAQWhat do I need to bring when I move in?
Your Studio will be brand new and come fully furnished. This includes all the core furniture like mattress, kitchen appliances, desk chair, and built in storage. The Studio won’t include bedding, or kitchen equipment like pots and pans. Check out our checklist for move in day.
Can I live next door to my friend?
Yes, you can. The best way to make sure your group of friends live on the same floor is by booking together. Reach out to our sales team bookings.uk@scape.com to help organise a group booking.
Can I have guests stay overnight?
Yes, guests can stay overnight. As a Scape resident you will need to check your guests in at reception or via the app.
What is the payment schedule?
When you book to live with us, you can choose to pay upfront, or in instalments. If you select to pay by instalments, we do ask for an instalment payment each term. For residents moving in September, your first instalment and damage deposit will be due ahead of check in day. With your second instalment due In January, and your third instalment due around Easter.
To book a room at Scape Guildford we require a 14 day upfront payment. This is later deducted from your rent.
Are there any bills I have to pay?
Worried about soaring energy bills and cost of living? Unlike traditional student housing, you do not have to worry about rising energy prices and the risk of going over your budget with Scape as all utility bills are included in your rent. This includes Wi-Fi, water, heating and electricity.
Unlike other student halls, we also host regular events that are often free to you. These events range from grab and go breakfast, to social mixers, summer parties and offsite events.
We have laundry facilities onsite; this is run by circuit and there is a small payment needed per load.
Does Scape host events for residents?
Scape hosts a variety of events every month, from Friday night hangouts and sports screenings to grab-and-go smoothies and yoga classes. Most events are free to join or seriously discounted so you can opt in or out whenever it suits you, there’s no pressure.
With an onsite gym, open plan lounge and dining areas, residents at Scape are surrounded by a supportive community.
