Canada Water is surrounded by a network of waterways and green spaces. It is a calming area to live in zone 2, with fast transport links to the heart of the action. Whizz around London in no time. From Scape Canada Water you are within a 5-minute walk of Canada Water tube station. Giving you access to the Jubilee line and Overground.
What are the transport links like?
Scape is in a great location, just a short walk from Canada Water tube station, our accommodation has great travel connections to all over the city. The two transportation lines that run through the station go to all parts of London, with the Jubilee line running from Stratford in the East to Stanmore in the West, and the Overground running from Dalston all the way down to Croydon.
Buses also run frequently through the area and across London (the bus is often the cheapest way to travel around London), with cycling and walking popular choices to get around too.
Scape is in the ideal location for KCL (King's College London) student accommodation, as well as other universities just a short travel journey away. We are afraid we have no parking at Scape Canada Water.
So, whether you’re going to your university campus in the city, or fancy a venture around London’s famous landmarks, your travel is made easy by living at Scape Canada Water.
How easy is it to commute to my university?
Finding a well located and connected student accommodation in London can be a tricky thing to understand. Scape Canada Water is ideally located for fast transport links across London, keeping your journey time to campus to a minimum. Living in zone 2 means you can also keep your transport costs low.
Scape Canada Water is only a 5-minute walk from Canada Water Underground. Commute to King's College London campus (including Guy's campus), University College London School of Management, UCL East campus, University of London, South Bank University, London College of Communication, University of the Arts London, Imperial College London, London School of Economics, and University of Greenwich via the Jubilee line quickly.
Commute to Goldsmiths and Camberwell College of Arts with ease on the Overground. With great transport links and connections to all over the city, Canada Water is also a short trip away from other major universities, schools, colleges and campuses in the capital.

What are some must-visit areas in South London?
Being so connected to all parts of London, you can be in the heart of the capital city within 15 minutes. There are plenty of things to do and attractions to see. Hop on the Jubilee line to London Bridge, where you’ll find the famous Borough Market full of stalls offering meals, fresh food, cheeses, wine and everything in between.
Elsewhere in that area, there are restaurants, pubs and bars to suit everyone's fancy. Pasta revelation Padella is a local must, and The Shard offers food and drinks for those looking for something more upmarket with stunning views of London. Vinegar Yard is also near, offering outdoor food vendors, bars and unique art.
The neighbourhood of Greenwich is also nearby, with weekly pop-up stalls, farmers markets, lively pubs by the riverside, a great mix of restaurants and Greenwich Park to explore.
Other areas to visit include Canary Wharf, Stratford, Peckham, Dalston, The West End, South Kensington, Hyde Park, Oxford Street, Denmark Hill, Regent's Park, and Shoreditch. All within easy reach by tube lines and offering their own unique array of entertainment.
Best areas to shop nearby?
All your everyday essential shops and supermarkets from groceries are within walking distance of Scape Canada Water. The biggest Decathlon in the UK is just around the corner for all your sporting needs.
One stop from Scape Canada Water on the Jubilee line and you’ll find yourself in Canary Wharf Shopping Centre - this shopping mall has high street shops and independent boutiques, as well as restaurants, bars, supermarkets and cafes.
If you fancied somewhere with more options, continue on the Jubilee line to Stratford and visit London’s largest shopping mall, Westfields Stratford City. From your beauty and fashion needs to your fitness and homeware products, you can easily spend an entire day browsing through your favourite stores and stopping by their food court for a bite to eat.
Where can I find exciting nightlife options nearby?
There are plenty of options in the neighbourhood to enjoy a buzzing nightlife. One stop to Canary Wharf and you can mingle in London’s ‘Mini New York’ setting with various bars and eateries at your disposal.
Connections to the city centre is also straightforward, so you can easily enjoy a night out in Soho or Shoreditch with an abundant option of bars and clubs.
Are there any outdoor spaces in Canada Water?
As the name suggests, Canada Water has some beautiful sources of water within walking distance to visit in the surrounding area. As well as the small dock right next door, there’s a larger dock just a 10-minute walk at Surrey Quays.
If you’re after a relaxing stroll, this spot is perfect as you can make your way around and take in the sights. Watch boats enter and leave from the River Thames and even walk along the famous London River if you fancied a longer wander.
Just north from the docks you’ll also find Stave Hill Ecological Park. Escape from the busy nature of the city in this area of greenery and make your way to the top of the Hill to see stunning views of the London skyline.
Elsewhere, you have Southwark Park nearby, a larger green space with a sports and leisure centre too. An ideal space for your fitness goals, with tennis courts, cricket and rugby pitches available to hire, it is a great area to do your morning runs (if that’s what you’re into)!
What communal spaces are there at Scape Canada Water?
There are communal areas to bring everyone together, as well as secluded spots for you to relax, recharge and study. Our communal spaces include spacious lounges, games areas, communal kitchens and a bar, a cinema, a fully equipped gym, a library, a range of study zones, meeting rooms and study pods. Get some air on our rooftop terrace and landscaped courtyard garden with all-weather sports pitch. There is also a laundry room (using circuit laundry machines) and a big, secure bike storage.

We have an app for residents to make it even easier to talk to the site team members, simplify parcel collection, and make booking communal spaces a breeze. Got a leaky tap? We'll fix that quick with our 24/7 maintenance team readily available to help.
We host weekly events which are a mix of on-site events and activities around the city. From Friday night hangouts to Superbowl screening, swap shops, and getting competitive with go-karting. Most events are free to join. For some off-site events there are limited spaces and there is a low-price set to secure your spot.
