The list of things to do in Bloomsbury is never-ending. Located in Zone 1, you’re just a stone throw away from many of London’s biggest attractions. Wander around the Royal Parks and tick off all the sights. Take a stroll along the River Thames and admire the views over Big Ben and St Paul’s Cathedral. Stop off at the London Eye and Buckingham Palace for mandatory photos in front of the big wheel and palace gates and see if you can catch the Changing of the Guard ceremony.
If you’re a film lover, take a walk around famous movie locations like Notting Hill or Camden Town, or snag tickets to world-famous West End musicals and plays at extravagant venues like the Lyceum or Apollo Theatre. Other famous hotspots not to miss include shopping on Tottenham Court Road, London Bridge, Regent's Park, and visiting the amazing markets and canals around King's Cross St Pancras.

You only need to take a few steps out your front door to find incredible bars and eateries in Bloomsbury. There’s lots of coffee shops and pastry shops nearby, don’t miss Fortitude Bakehouse. From high-end designer outlets like Harrods to iconic department stores like Selfridges and John Lewis, whatever you’re looking for you’ll find it here. Covent Garden and Seven Dials are also great for shopping. Just make sure to wear comfy trainers while you’re out and about as there’ll be lots of walking. Are there any outdoor spaces and parks in Bloomsbury?
Bloomsbury has some of the best parks and gardens in London. Russel Square is one of the biggest with flowerbeds and a central fountain. For your lunch break, Tavistock Square Gardens has a Pret nearby and plenty of benches so you can get lost in a book or watch the squirrels at play. A street over from there, Gordons Square is a wonderful escape, surrounded by tall trees so you feel far away from the hustle and bustle of the big city.
As far as Royal Parks go, Regent’s Park is the closest to Scape with London’s biggest outdoor sports area. Whether you’re into football, rugby, cricket or lacrosse, there’s lots to keep you active. Admire the Queen Mary Rose Garden, relax by the pond or enjoy a picnic with friends. If you’re going to university in London, Scape Bloomsbury is an ideal location to live in as it’s walking distance to many world-leading universities like University College London (10-min), Kings College and London School of Economics (20-min). It’s also close to Birkbeck and SOAS University of London (6-min) so you can roll out of bed straight to class.

Being in a central location makes it really easy to get around. With many exciting things to do nearby, walking is your best bet. But if you want to venture further out, you can hop on a nearby bus, train or boat along the River Thames to get you quickly and easily around the city.
There are several London Underground stations within a 10-minute walk of Scape Bloomsbury, including Russel Square (4-min), Holborn and Goodge Street. There are also multiple bus stops right outside our building. If you’re eager to travel abroad or visit your friends and family over the term holidays, Kings Cross St Pancras station is just a 12-minute walk away with direct train links across the UK and Europe. It’s also just an hour to London Gatwick and Heathrow airport if you’re looking to catch a flight.
