Why Living at Scape Just Makes Sense: A Comprehensive Guide to Student Accommodation

Picture this – you are in your final year of school and student life is on the horizon! You’ve selected your university and now it is time to book your uni accommodation. There are so many accommodation options available to students in the UK – it can be overwhelming! Enter Scape! We have put together a helpful guide that highlights the best bits of Scape to help you find the best accommodation that aligns with your academic and lifestyle requirements.

So who are Scape?

Scape is a private student accommodation provider. We operate independently from the universities in your city and have students from multiple universities living with us within one building. We have buildings located across London, Guildford and are launching our newest building in Leeds in 2024. We have over 14,000 students living with us and have been working within student accommodation since 2013 – over the years have built an amazing reputation that we are very proud of! Just take a look at our google reviews.

So let’s get into it – what makes Scape the best…

1. The Scape advantage

Scape isn't just another player in the student accommodation market; we are a trendsetter and leader. We have a commitment to providing students with more than just a room, we take pride in creating a fun and supportive living experience. The heart of our business is people! Our residents and our staff. We are very proud of the strong and supportive team of staff that we have working 24/7 in our buildings. We have mental health first aiders, maintenance teams, cleaners, receptionists – a whole team of people on hand to help out, be it for signing for parcels, fixing a broken lightbulb, or for a bit of emotional support. We are on hand! It is super easy at Scape to reach out to our staff for help – we have a resident app that you can download (IOS & Google store). On the app, our residents can get notifications about events, log any maintenance requests, and book study rooms, amongst many other things! All you need to do is have a look at some of our Google reviews to see how frequently Scape staff are named and championed for their amazing support and service to our residents. So thank you to our staff in our buildings – keep being amazing!

2. The comfy practicality of Student Rooms

We own, design, and build each of our properties – meaning every detail is considered. Ensuring our rooms have enough plug sockets in the right places, have plenty of natural daylight, good desk space and plenty of communal areas to socialise and mix with neighbours is a given at Scape. We have a range of room sizes and styles to select from. You can share a twin room in our Scape Bloomsbury and Scape Mile End locations. Or opt for an en suite room (en suites come with a double bed and private bathroom) which shares a communal kitchen with 3-6 other people, we have en suites in most of our locations. In the majority of locations we have studio flats, these offer in-room cooking facilities and en suite bathrooms, so you don’t have to worry about working out the communal area cleaning rotas! We also have a small handful of one and two bedroom apartments that offer the most space and have separate bedrooms and living areas, these tend to be snapped up quickly so do get in touch if you want to book one of these!  Regardless of which location and room you settle on, each of our rooms are equipped with modern amenities and furnishings, ensuring that you have a comfortable and conducive space to study, relax, unwind, and call home for your time at university.
