When making a booking with us, we require a small deposit (usually about two weeks' rent), and no other pre-payments are required until the month before you move in.

Once you have chosen your perfect student home, it's easy to book. You can book via the website or reach out to the sales team on live chat or email bookings.uk@scape.com to secure your room. The easiest way to book is via the website. It takes just 10 minutes to complete. Firstly, select the Scape property you would like to live in and choose your preferred room type. For the first step of the booking process, you need to select the booking period and floor you wish to live on.  Once you're happy to proceed, create a Scape account and fill in your contact details. Then review and sign your tenancy contract and put down a two-week advanced rent payment. Your booking is then confirmed. 

If you don't want to miss out on your perfect room but need a few days to think about it, another way to secure your space is by putting a room on hold. This can be done by selecting your ideal room, creating a Scape account, and submitting your contact details. We will then take the room off the market and allow you up to 72 hours to complete the final steps of the booking journey. You will receive an email confirming your room choice has been saved for you. 

Academy of Contemporary Music has campuses in Guildford and London, so your commute from Scape student accommodation will depend on which ACM campus you're attending.  Estimated travel times from our Scape locations to ACM campuses:  

• From Scape Shoreditch – ~25-30 mins (Northern Line from Old Street)  

• From Scape Kings Cross – ~25-30 mins (Northern Line from King's Cross St Pancras)  

• From Scape Canada Water – ~30-35 mins (Jubilee Line → Northern Line)  

• From Scape Wembley – ~45-50 mins (Metropolitan Line → Northern Line)  

• From Scape Mile End – ~30-35 mins (Central Line → Northern Line)  

Scape Guildford is very close to ACM Guildford, making it an ideal accommodation choice:  

• Walking Distance: ~5-10 minutes   

• By Bike: ~3-5 minutes  

• By Bus: Not necessary, as it’s a short walk

Choosing university accommodation can be overwhelming, with a variety of options depending on your year of study. With so many rental properties and listings to sift through, it can be tough to decide what’s best for you. That’s why we’re here to make your choice easier.  

For first-year students, the most common choices are university halls or purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA), like Scape. While university halls can be a great starting point, they often have limited facilities and securing an en-suite room can be challenging, meaning you might end up sharing a bathroom with several others. Scape offers a range of room types, but every option—whether it’s an en-suite, studio, or shared apartment—comes with a private bathroom as standard. By your second or third year, you might find that student halls are no longer an option. You could consider renting a flat or sharing a house with friends, but this often means no guaranteed en-suite, separate utility bills, and no on-site support. Instead, you can choose to stay at Scape with friends in one of our spacious apartments and continue enjoying all the benefits we offer—including fully inclusive bills and regular cleaning of communal areas like kitchens.  

For postgraduates, finding affordable accommodation close to your university can be a challenge. Many of our postgraduate residents appreciate the privacy of a studio or apartment. We provide a comfortable and private setup across all our London locations to cater to your needs.
